Pro-Hamas protesters have stormed Makhachkala Airport in the Russian Republic of Dagestan (a muslim-majority, tribalish country) after breaching security with the intent of intercepting a flight originating from Israel, video footage has shown.
Israeli National Security Council says that there were no Jews or Israelis on the flight to Makhachkala which resulted in an attempted pogrom. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Dagestan opened a criminal case under Article 212 – mass riots.
